GRANDVALIRA, UNE SEULE STATION, 6 SECTEURS DIFFERENTS
Grandvalira is a ski resort located in Andorra; it encompasses the ski areas of two of the seven «parishes» (the equivalent of the regions) of Andorra. The station was founded in 2003 when the two oldest stations of the Pyrenees, Pas-de-la-Case-Grau Roig (founded in 1956) and Soldeu-El Tarter (founded in 1964), were combined. This union has created the largest resort in the Pyrenees and one of the largest in Europe, with its 210 kilometres of slopes, a total of 128 pistes for all levels and a single ski pass giving access to the entire ski area.
In these years of history, Grandvalira has made an immense economic effort, investing more than 100 million euros basically to expand the ski area, renovate and increase the network of lifts (the resort can now accommodate more than 100,000 skiers per hour, which means no longer long lines to access lifts), improve the snow cannon network (more than 65% of the territory is covered with artificial snow for the greatest pleasure of skiers) and to provide the resort with the most complete après-ski activity network.
The constant innovation has paid off and enabled the resort to host world-renowned events such as the Women’s Ski World Cup or the Speed World Cup, Grandvalira has become a reference of quality at international level.
Nature and the desire for new things are well-suited in a resort that innovates and has the largest choice of activities to the delight of its customers.
NIGHT DESCENT AT THE PAS
Grandvalira is always on the slopes and decided to revitalise the area at the foot of the slopes, in Pas-de-la-Case. At nightfall, the ski slope of La Solana/Tubs is illuminated and opens its chairlift on Thursday and Saturday from 5 pm to 8 pm, weather permitting. This is a public area.
All day, multi-day, seasonal and Plus+ passes, except the pedestrian pass, provide access to the night ski run. The track is closed until next season.
Don’t forget our great night ski resort... Another year opens the doors for all skiers, and especially for freestylers, the Sunset Park Peretol. Open from Tuesday to Sunday, from 3pm until 9pm.
